I present the recipe that we scalderá the heart, mind and body. Its color brings vivacity to the table and its flavour relaxes tired minds and stressed after a long day and freezing cold.
But what is it? Is the Red Lentil soup flavored with Rosemary flavoured by pimenton. The paprika is a spice of Spanish descent, would be the smoked paprika; I use in many recipes, its flavour I associate it with that of bacon.
Red lentils instead, do very well and are rich in beneficial properties and unlike other lentils, they cook quickly. The Red Lentil soup is a high protein dish, therefore also suitable for those who follow a diet rich in protein, sports for kids, and for those who are gluten-intolerant like me.
This is the last recipe before you leave for your trip, then I’ll be back in a couple of weeks. Don’t worry if you don’t hear from me … I’m just enjoying life!
smoked paprika/original paprika
extra virgin olive oil
Wash under water rorrente lentils. In a pot combine lentils with onion and carrots well chopped.
Add the Rosemary, salt and cover with water, rising much the level of lentils. Cover with the lid and cook for about 20 minutes, the first 5 minutes over high heat, then over a low heat. Read the cooking time of the packet. Add hot water as needed.
When cooked, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika or regular paprika, a little oil and serve the dish hot.
Secret: you can replace the paprika with a bit of spicy if you prefer.
Styling: decorate the plate with a sprig of Rosemary and sprinkle with paprika before serving.
